Seat, the Spanish car firm owned by Volkswagen said it wanted workers to take turns to stay at home in order to cope with a fall in demand. It is proposing to have 571 workers a day stay at home from its factories in Catalonia, on a rotating basis, between September and December. Shareholders in Clearwire Corp voted to approve majority owner Sprint Nextel's buyout of the rest of the company, finally ending a massive battle for control of the small U.S. wireless operator. Sources say financier Nat Rothschild has asked Britain's financial market watchdog to look into whether Indonesia-focused coal miner Bumi made misleading statements to the market. After two years of bitter boardroom battles and a probe into financial irregularities, Bumi, co-founded by Rothschild and the Bakrie family, is now seeking to part ways with the Bakries in a $278 million deal.
