The celebrations got a little out of hand after the Boston Red Sox clinched the World Series with a 6-1 home win over the St Louis Cardinals. It was the first time the Red Sox had won the Fall Classic in front of their own fans since 1918, having wrapped it up on the road in 2004 and 2007. Jubilant crowds hit the streets of Beantown and at times Boston’s Finest had to get involved. Credit: Alan Wurman
