‘Bachelor’ moments that made us cringe

"Burning Love" season 2The new season of "The Bachelorette" spoof "Burning Love" promises a lot of inept flirting, ill-advised hook-ups, and fiasco-like ceremonies, the two shows that inspired it had a lot of those same moments, only unscripted.

Below, a recap of the top five most cringe-worth moments from "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette." Obviously these are subject to debate. So many to choose from!

5. Jake Pavelka vs Vienna Girardi

Ever been stuck at a party with two people who can't stand the fact that the other person exists? At first it's sort of amusing. And then it gets... well, watch and see for yourself.

4. Jason dumping Melissa and asking for Molly back on "After the Rose"

Jason Mesnick proposed to Melissa Rycroft on the season finale of "The Bachelor." A short time later, Mesnick had a change of heart and told Rycroft (on national television, mind you) that he still had feelings for runner-up Molly Malaney. Awkward, but turned out to be the right call -- Mesnick and Malaney are now married.

3. Stacey Elza hits the sauce a little too hard

In "The Bachelor's" London season premiere, Stacey Elza made a splash when she drank too much booze and ended up giving a pair of her underpants to a disinterested Matt Grant. Elza was booted by the bachelor who declared Elza's spicy move "not cool." In a post-rejection interview, Elza remarked that Grant wasn't her type. "I actually like more of a bad-boy type... More manly guys," she said.

2. Jesse Palmer's never been good with names

Former NFL QB Jesse Palmer showed that when it comes to remembering names, he's no... oh, you know, that one guy. In an early episode, Palmer forgot a woman's name and accidentally sent her home. "I'm very embarrassed to tell you this," Palmer said. "Katie, I accidentally called out the wrong name giving that last rose." He meant Karen. Cue the sad trombone.

1. Brad Womack says, "None of the above."

OK, he didn't literally say it, but when Womack turned down both DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft in the season finale, he became persona non grata among reality TV fans. Womack would later return on another season and try to make amends. Alas that didn't work out either. Some guys are bachelors for a reason.
