Los Angeles Angels left-hander Tyler Skaggs will have elbow ligament replacement surgery, likely sidelining him for the entire 2015 season. The Angels announced Skaggs' decision Sunday and transferred him to the 60-day disabled list. Skaggs will have Tommy John surgery Wednesday in Los Angeles. Skaggs is 5-5 with a 4.30 ERA in 18 starts this season for the Angels, who reacquired their former draft pick from Arizona in the offseason in a trade for slugger Mark Trumbo. He hasn't pitched since July 31 due to a partially torn ligament in his elbow.
