Keira Knightley is an Oscar nominee. She is very famous. She’s been on the covers of many, many magazines. And yet people often assume she’s Natalie Portman. Knightley told Graham Norton on his show, “I get chased through airports. She must get chased a lot." Knightley also told the talk show host she also gets mistaken other stars like Kate Winslet, adding, "The one that’s quite surprising is Britney Spears.”
An astonishingly tragic year for air travel in Southeast Asia turned worse Sunday when an AirAsia plane carrying 162 people disappeared over stormy Indonesian waters, with no word on its fate despite several hours of searching by air and sea. AirAsia Flight 8501 vanished in airspace possibly thick with dense storm clouds, strong winds and lightning on its way from Surabaya, Indonesia, to Singapore. Searchers had to fight against heavy rain. The Malaysia-based carrier's loss comes on top of the still-unexplained disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 in March and the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 in July over Ukraine. At the Surabaya airport, shocked family members pored over the plane's manifest, crying and embracing when they learned the news. Nearly all the passengers and crew are Indonesians, who are frequent visitors to Singapore, particularly on holidays.
9 Actors Who Only Make Bad Movies Katherine Heigl The first time we saw Katherine Heigl as the driven and tightly-wound, but quirky and ultimately lovable girl was in "Knocked Up", and that was a decent comedy. But then she played the same character in "27 Dresses" which was meh. But then we saw it again in "The Ugly Truth"...then AGAIN in "Life As We Know It". Redeeming Film: "Knocked Up" (2007) David Arquette after playing the clueless and often obnoxious Officer Dewey in Scream, he hit a wall and started doing things like "Ready to Rumble" and "Eight Legged Freaks." Redeeming Film: "The Grey Zone" (2001) Jessica Biel Putting your feelings about "7th Heaven" aside (whatever they may be), there was "Summer Catch", "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "New Years Eve", "Valentine's Day", "Total Recall"...do we have to go on? Beautiful girl, bad movie choices. Redeeming Film: "The Illusionist" (2006) Jennifer Love Hewitt Although she was a staple in the late 90s, JLove has never been a great actress. And her film choices, which range from "House Arrest" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" to "The Tuxedo" and "Garfield: The Movie" is certainly nothing to brag about. Redeeming Film: "Can't Hardly Wait" (because she's still Amanda Beckett after all) Rob Schneider Rob Schneider's films have consistently bombed for over two decades. We're not gonna lie and say "Deuce Bigalow" isn't a guilty pleasure, but guilty is the key word. But we'd much rather forget about "The Waterboy", "Little Nicky" and "The Hot Chick", and he probably would too. Redeeming Film: ? Jessica Alba Her first few films "Idle Hands" and "Camp Nowhere" were bad. Her films in the early 2000s like "Awake" and "Good Luck Chuck" were really bad. Then more recently there's been "Little Fockers" and "Valentine's Day" which were...bad. Redeeming Film: "Sin City" (2005) Ashton Kutcher Who could forget his cringeworthy roles in "Dude, Where's My Car?" and "Cheaper By The Dozen"? Even his dramatic roles like "The Butterfly Effect" and "Jobs" got panned by the critics. Redeeming Film: "No Strings Attached" Megan Fox This shouldn't really be up for debate. "Transformers" was only okay...and all Megan really contributed to that was her looks. Then it was a downward spiral with "Jennifer's Body", "Jonah Hex" and "The Dictator". Oh and she helped ruin the reboot of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" which is unforgivable. Redeeming Film: "Friends With Kids" Hayden Christensen It's pretty much unanimous that Hayden Christensen is a wooden, uninteresting actor. And despite the success of the new "Star Wars" films, he was undoubtedly the low point. The rest of his movies including "Awake" and "Jumper" have bombed and no one in Hollywood really seems to take him seriously anymore. Redeeming Film: "Shattered Glass" (2003)
Sleepless nights are almost guaranteed for new parents. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have been up all night since their baby was born nine weeks ago. "Our baby in particular is we think allergic to sleep," the Woman in Gold star said on Monday's Tonight Show. "I don't think that's possible," host and father of two Jimmy Fallon said. If James isn't "allergic to sleep," Reynolds has another theory about his daughter. "We think that she thinks she's protecting us from the sleep monsters," he explained. "Like, 'Oh, I've got to keep them up or the sleep monsters will get them.'"
Judge Judy Sheindlin's contract has been renewed through 2020, it was announced Monday by Armando Nunez, president and CEO of the CBS Global Distribution Group. The new contract includes a first-look production deal with Queen Bee Productions, which is owned by Judy Sheindlin. This past season, Queen Bee and CBS launched "Hot Bench," a show that quickly has become one of the highest-rated new hits on daytime television, averaging 2.3 million viewers a day.
Glee star Naya Rivera and her husband Ryan Dorsey stepped out for the first time since announcing they're expecting at LAX, where Rivera covered up her baby bump with a large Chanel purse and matching green plaid blazer and skirt. She topped her look off with a large maroon hat and matching high boots. The announcement hasn't slowed Rivera down at all because she recently tweeted that she was having a "blast" on the set of her new show, Devious Maids, which she signed onto now that Glee is coming to an end. It looks like she'll be working until it's time to take a break!
