The Pats made mistakes because they are human..... and who should we blame for the fact that the media cannot resist publicly asking on a continual basis "Who is to blame", for all kinds of perceived injustices /wrongs ie..losses, accidents, crimes, injuries, etc.... asking who is to blame is a victim mindset /thought process. Losers think like that, always looking to place blame. I am sure no one on the Pats squad is asking that question. The better question they are likely asking themselves could easily be "what can be learned, to do better next time"?

Because they did not run the Ball like they should have. Stupid for throwing on the first play of the game back in your own end zone. Giants had the lucky charms working with the fumbles not recovered by the Patriots. Pats defense actually played well. You just have to catch the Ball in SuperBowl you only have one chance. Have a good day. That's two we let get away. You just cant give the ball back to Manning at the end of the game. You saw the end results. No more comments needed. Pats Lose Again! Hats off to the Giants they had non pressure game.

I played 30 years of football, including part of one season in the NFL before my knee got blown out. Why do people need a scapegoat? I'm a Giants fan....however, Welker would have had to make a twisting, turning, unbelievable catch to bring that pass in. Saying is: If it hits you in the hands you should catch it! Problem is: when your body is twisting, the ball is short or long or off course; you need a little luck on your side. In this case, and as good as he is, it just didn't happen. Question: On the last drive, Brady hits two guys "in the hand" and they both dropped the pass. Why aren't they getting the blame? Bottom Line: The Giants "team" won the game and the Patriots "team" lost it! No one person should be singled out and as far as I'm concerned, there should be "no blame" against any team that was good enough to make it to the Super Bowl.

Should have made superhuman effort to grab ball in endzone like Dwight Clark did.

      Karma.
At this level, on championship game day, one mistake will cost you. Add nerves and a little luck into the mix and the difference between the two teams is still negligible. Belly-checks lying and cheating caught up with him and it took the whole team down. Giants prevailed as they maintained their integrity, passion, skills and determination.

People that ask stupid qestions about a play, has never played any orgainzed sports. The players are human, mistakes are going to be made. There has never been a perfect game played. Mistakes were made on both teams offense, defense, special teams, and coaches. They are called a football TEAM. The Giants won lets give the some credit.

welker is not the only one dropping passes on that final drive. brady is not "brady" under pressure. he is only "elite" when he plays a pathetic defenses. now somebody may realize that adam vinatieri was the actual "elite" player on those super bowl winning teams. he has gotten no respect and credit for winning those games. people criticize eli but without the super bowl wins would brady actually be in that category? take away all the stat racking as of late and what does he have? but to answer this article, no, welker is not the only one at fault!

Come on people...I love the Mannings but there's no point in dissing ANYBODY on the Patriots in the game. The Patriots played a great game, some of the bounces just didn't go their way and the Pats fans need to leave Welker alone. He had as much as anybody to do with them getting there and he had a great game. It was was just an ill-timed just-off-the-mark pass and just-off-the-mark-drop. You can get mad at the timing but running full speed and having to twist and go up is asking for everything to go right and it rarely does. The Pats came within 12 inches of winning it on the last play...I know it hurts but be proud Pats fans. The team played great.

This is like bothering over spill milk. The Patriots just have to look at the game again, see where they fail, and come back with a bang for the next Super Bowl.

There's a diference in losing and being beaten. The Pats were beaten by a better team!

The Patriots lost because on this given Sunday, the Giants had more points when the game ended.
