Italy's Palio Di Siena Draws Large Crowds

Spectators packed into Siena’s Piazza del Campo on July 2 to enjoy the biannual Palio di Siena horse race. The event, which is held on July 2 and August 16 each year, pits ten horses and riders representing different districts against one another. As is tradition, the horses are ridden bareback around the square of the Tuscan city three times during the race which normally lasts no longer than a couple of minutes. Credit: Facebook / Dave Kengen
