Physics students out of the University of Leicester in England put Newton's Second Law to interesting use: determining how many seagulls it would take to fly James' Giant Peach around! Using descriptions from the 1961 Roald Dahl children's classic, they figured out that it would take 2.5 million birds to fly the big peach around. So maybe science is just for the birds.
