Wildfire Rages Along Clackamas River in Oregon

The 36 Pit Fire in Oregon’s Mount Hood National Forest has scorched more than 3,500 acres since it began on September 13, forcing the closures of the Clackamas Highway (Oregon Route 224), several forest service roads and other roads, trails and recreation sites along the highway. The Oregon Department of Transportation posted this video on Monday, September 15, showing one of their vehicles driving along Highway 224 through the smoke.
