Smoke From King Fire Moves Across Lake Tahoe

The King Fire in California’s El Dorado county had burned 87,592 acres by the morning of September 22. The blaze, which threatened 12,000 homes, was just 18 percent contained. Lake Tahoe, located east of the blaze, was experiencing heavy smoke as a result of the large fire. An Ironman triathlon scheduled to take place in the area on September 21 was cancelled as a result of the blaze.
