Russian Aid Convoy Travels to Ukraine

Russia sent a “humanitarian” convoy of over 200 trucks from Moscow to the southeast of Ukraine on August 12, according to reports. This video, taken by a local Russian news organization, shows the convoy passing through the town of Tula en route to Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin said on Monday, August 11, that Russia may send a humanitarian convoy to Ukraine. NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that he saw a “high probability” of Russia intervening militarily in Ukraine “under the guise of a humanitarian operation”.
