Irish Medics Protest Israel's Bombardment of Gaza

Hundreds of people joined a protest in Dublin city centre on Thursday, July 31, against the Israeli bombardment of Gaza. The shelling of Gaza has been underway for almost a month, causing the deaths of over 1,300 Palestinians, many of them children. The march was organised by Gaza Action Ireland and included speeches by Irish medical personnel who have worked in Gaza.

Surgeons and first responders called on the Irish government to push Israel for greater protection of civilians and medical personnel in Gaza. The march took place shortly after Ireland’s Senate (Seanad) held a special debate on the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Credit: YouTube/Laura Byrne
