Thousands Join Cameroon March Against Boko Haram

Thousands of people took to the streets of Cameroon’s capital, Yaounde, on February 28 for a march opposing Islamist militant group Boko Haram. The ‘Great Patriotic March’ included participants from neighbouring Chad and Ivory Coast, according to a local report. Boko Haram hs been most active in Nigeria but has also been involved in attacks in several surrounding countries, prompting interventions by the armed forces of Cameroon and others.
