CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- NewsChannel 36 is probing into the cause of Friday's roof collapse at SouthPark Mall during very heavy rain.
Officials were scheduled to meet with engineers at 1 p.m. Monday at the mall as they investigate what led to two large holes opening up near the Gap and Banana Republic.
Hundreds of people were inside the mall when six to eight inches of water flooded the area.(
