(WHAS11) -- A man has been charged in the stabbing death of another man near Churchill Downs.
LMPD Homicide detectives have charged Robert L. Mathews, 65, with one count of murder in connection with Sunday afternoon's homicide on West Kenton Street.
The victim, believed to be a white man in his 40s, was found stabbed and left for dead on a porch in the 200 block of West Kenton Street. He was transported to University Hospital where he later died.
