HOUSTON-Keep your umbrellas handy Monday because the showers are expected to return, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Gene Norman.
Some areas south of Houston reported up to 2 inches of rain Sunday.
The showers helped cool things off and overnight temperatures will generally be in the low 70s.
Showers will start in the coastal regions Monday before moving inland. By then, temperatures will peak in the mid-90s. Rain chances will go down by the middle of the week, while the heat remains.
As for Ernesto, the 10
