Homicide investigation in Northeast Austin into death of DPS worker

AUSTIN -- The Texas Rangers are investigating a homicide in Northeast Austin. Austin police were called to Samsung Boulevard and Sprinkle Cutoff Road around 12:30 Monday morning. Investigators have expanded this crime scene twice. Monday morning they searched a field looking for evidence. A passerby called in a report of a car crashed into a tree a few minutes after midnight. Austin Police Department officers searched the area with flashlights and found the driver of the car dead. The driver has been identi
