      Not happy with the slaughter of alligators just for their hides in 'Swamp People'. Does somebody at least eat the meat? Even with that usage, the torture these animals go through with hours, even days of huge metal hooks piercing their nerves and flesh is inexcusable.

        I'ld pet an alligator in a second in the right conditions. I would kill one if it was attacking my grandchildren. Better yet, I'll keep my grandchildren away from dangerous animals and where they live. I'm still against torture and killing for hides. I'm not against using every part of an animal for food, hides, medicine, as long as it is responsible. Just do not waste an entire stripped animal for a wallet. Keep your name-calling for someone who cares about your sorry opinion.

      Dont ask me why, I do not live near them. I just love their show. Alligators need to be hunted....no natural preditors, just man. The animals would eat up every living creature if left on their own. I know that it is all regulated. I love to see each of the hunters and their daily lives. Some even hunt snakes. It is a hard life, but they love it and could not think to be elsewhere. I could never do what they do. Bless them.

      About the only reason why people watch this crap is so they can laugh at these jackasses that are supposeingly representing "Southern Culture" while all they are doing is giving everyone else in this country reason to believe that we're all just a bunch of redneck, swamp trash here in southern louisiana.

        I DO NOT have anything against people that work hard at all. My entire family, as do I, work in the oil field industry. The show revolves around these guys that hunt alligators for just 30 days(alligator season). They do NOT do this for a living. If you honestly believe this crappy reality tv show is what you consider "hard work" then you're pretty ignorant. Maybe you shouldn't believe everything you see on television.
