Does Adam Levine Deserve People Magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive' Title?

Adam Levine is officially the "Sexiest Man Alive" this year! The Maroon 5 singer and coach on The Voice beat out hotties such as Justin Timberlake and David Beckham to win the accolade bestowed each year by People magazine. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Levine remained publicly modest about receiving the award. “As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn’t really think that this was on the table,” he said in the People cover story. Nevertheless, his reported Sexiest Man Alive title is being criticized. Some commenters on message boards have suggested his rant earlier this year on The Voice, in which he quietly said “I hate his country,” should mean he doesn’t deserve the title.
