    CHOCOLATE TIRAMISU

    Mon, Dec 19, 2011 3:00 AM EST - Chow Ciao! 5:40 | 638,762 views

Holiday tradition at Fabio's house meant chocolate and cookies all wrapped up in his mom's super-fabulous tiramisu. Now that she's come to the States to make it with him, it's a gift for everyone!

So glad he made this recipe-love this dessert. Fabio is too funny, and what a beautiful Italian mom! Bella! To: Klaw: The recipes are posted seperately on a link on the page.

great show, great recipes but he needs to post the measurements somewhere i can write them to use them instead of trying to guess. measurements as SOME SUGAR can mean a ton of different measurements, and ALL THE MASCARPONE is again a large gap to get a great consistent item.

I just realized he has links to his recipes on the right side called "Recipes from the show" click them and you'll have the measurements.

The lady fingers need to be stale or use instant coffee (dry). The lady fingers soaks up so much so fast they fall apart instantly. Way too much Mascarpone/egg yolk mix. (The Mascarpone is expensive). I put too much of the mixture between layers and had a mess on my hands

Holy Crap... this guy is frickin' funny! First time I've ever seen him. I will return to watch again. It's like watching Father Guido Sarducci if he were a young cook. Enjoyed.

No worries.. the sugar denatures the egg yolk proteins. Similar reaction to the way citrus cooks raw fish in ceviche.

VERY GOOD & EASY. I whipped my eggs too much but it still tasted good just didn't spread as easy. I also soaked the lady fingers too much. I added a lot of chocolate shavings YUM! The first night we ate this all I could taste was the watery coffee but by the second day the cake set up and soaked in. It was so much better the next day. We had this two nights in a row then again for dessert on the fourth night. I went ahead and froze the rest. THERE IS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF PEOPLE! Americans are so afraid of this. This is completely safe! We have never been stricken ill from tiramisu. I'm more afraid of the foods on the inner isles of the grocery store than I am of raw eggs.
Thank you Fabio and Beautiful Mother! :)
