The Supreme Court left the fate of a key part of the Voting Rights Act in the hands of Congress, but GOP leaders, including the most powerful Republican in the nation, House Speaker John Boehner, don't seem in much of a rush to take up that responsibility. Another blow to the crumbling empire of Paula Deen, Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced that it is severing all ties with the celebrity chef. Caesars will close its Deen-themed restaurants at casinos in Mississippi, Illinois, North Carolina and Indiana. Paula Deen's name is being stripped from four buffet restaurants owned by Caesars, part of the continuing fallout over her admission that she used a racial slur in the past.
