Tennessee native and backwards bowler Jim Cripps has taken the world by storm. He holds the Guinness World Record for backwards bowling at 278, has an average of 204, and is even in the PBA. However Jim’s talents were almost not to be! He was a a bowler that didn’t believe in ‘tricks,’ but attempted backwards bowling one night on a dare, and on his first effort bowled a strike. From that moment, the rest was history. He says “I love the sport of bowling & turning around has changed my life as well as given me the opportunity to meet and make friends from all walks of life. From Bowlfest in Las Vegas to Trick shots in Tokyo and all the stops in between, Seeing the wonder from both children and adults when you make a shot they thought was impossible is both humbling and AWESOME!”
